The Garrett Hill Steering Committee members and the planners have completed the Garrett Hill Overlay District plan!
On Monday night, July 21, 2008 the Board of Commissioners voted to approve the Garrett Hill Master Plan and also voted to refer the zoning and SALDO documents to the Planning Commissions for review and codification.
As of September 2, both the Delaware County and Radnor Township Planning Commissions have approved the GHOD zoning and land use provisions with some recommendations.
On September 22, 2008, the Board of Commissioners voted to table the adoption of the Garrett Hill Zoning District documents (Zoning and SALDO) until October 27, 2008. The BOC requested that the GHSC meet with business and property owners and community members who still have questions about the proposed GHZD plan. With the help of Marian Hull, the Planner, a four-step meeting schedule will be followed to give ample opportunity for all Garrett Hill community members to meet with the Garrett Hill Steering Committee, Ms. Hull, and relevant Township Staff.
The Committee will strive to help clarify by providing answers to specific questions throughout this meeting process.
On October 27, 2008, the GHSC presented a brief GHZD update to the Radnor Township Board of Commissioners in the light of their decision to table the vote a second time pending discussion of the plan with the Radnor School Board. The GHSC made a brief presentation of the proposed zoning to School Board members on October 28 in preparation for their consideration of the GHZD relative to Tunnell Field.
The GHZD review meeting schedule is complete. Documents relating to the recommendations and revisions are available here.

Revised GHZD Master Plan, Zoning, and SALDO documents
The Township solicitor referred the zoning and SALDO documents back to the Delaware County Planning Commission (November 20, 2008) and the Radnor Township Planning Commission (December 1, 2008). The RT Planning Commission tabled the ordinance until their meeting January 6, 2009. The Radnor Township Board of Commissioners will vote on adoption of the plan at a meeting subsequent to completing the public hearing and reviews by the RT and DC planning commissions.
